“This four-star hotel impressed me with its central location in Keswick, near Derwentwater and the Lake District National Park, offering both convenience and natural beauty. The Hikers Picnic Afternoon Board stood out, a detail that speaks to the hotel's attentiveness to its guests, particularly those keen on outdoor pursuits, with large family suites designed for comfort and privacy. From what I gathered, it's a solid choice for families and those wanting to explore the Lake District.”

Breakfast had a very good selection. It was made to order.
The dog was only allowed in the conservatory and tables were limited. This was quite small. There was no lounge area available. I felt the noise was bad, because the location is on the main square.

the brasserie experience was really inconsistent! the mussels starter was small. only five mussels for that price. my main steak was surprisingly underwhelming for the cost. i expected better quality and more sides. the fish pie was decent, though.

Acceptable Hotel Experience

The restaurant was accommodating to our large group. The food in the restaurant tasted lovely. I recommend the fish and chips (it was delicious!). The hotel rooms were clean.
I had a problem with the heating on the day I arrived. The heating in the room was not turned on until 6 pm. I could smell dog urine in the twin bedroom. I wrote to the general manager but did not get a reply to my email.

The hotel is centrally located! close to everything. my room was very clean and i found the bed comfortable. It had thick carpets too. the bathroom featured a bath and a very functional shower. It was a beautiful double room.
The hotel lacked sufficient parking. I had to pay extra for parking nearby. the menus also contained some spelling errors. these menus could use updating!

The breakfast was lovely. I especially enjoyed the variety of options available, including both hot and cold items. The location is convenient. It allowed easy access to local shops and attractions. The staff members i encountered were generally friendly and helpful.
My room was quite small. It felt a bit cramped, especially with luggage. Sometimes there was a wait. I noticed a few areas needing some maintenance, such as peeling wallpaper in the hallway. The building work made noise.
